Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 F and cut the Apple Pie Bar into small pieces and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the bar pieces for 6 minutes and golden brown. Let cool completely.
- Place the cooled bar pieces into a food processor or nutribullet and blend until fine crumblesform.
- Transfer the crumbles to a mixing bowl and combine with the almond flour, protein powder, cornstarch, baking powder and salt. Whisk in the egg, milk and oil.
- Prepare an 8” round waffle iron with non-stick spray and high heat.
- Cook the waffles according to the waffle iron instructions and golden brown. This recipe makes 1 ½ ( 8”) waffles or 6 waffle triangles when cut into pieces.
- Stir together the glaze and dip one side of each waffle triangle into the glaze and serve.
